Non-Formal School :

AsansolBurdwanSeva Kendra through Fatima Non-formal School is in the mission of bringing the slum and street children to the mainstream of education among them 90% are from drop- outs, de-motivated and deprived.

Students of our school are the children of contract laborers, daily-wage earners, domestic servants, Petty shop owners, construction workers, Vendors, Hawkers, Cobblers, and Rickshaw pullers.

Fatima School provides basic education to these children (aged 6-15 yrs.) and brings them to formal schooling due to their poor economic background irrespective of religion, caste and language from Asansol area in order to acquire a better future.

Several orientation programmmes are conducted to aware these desolated dwellers of slums struggling for their existence and fighting with the undefeated heinous power of poverty and fate.

Our endeavour is to empower their coming generation with the light of Education. We accumulate joyful learning, practical teaching and innovative applied methodologies in our teaching- learning process.

We conduct Summer Camps on School subjects for our children to acquire a hand in hand experience with laboratory equipment, teaching aids and experience the updated technologies and techniques to acquire knowledge and wisdom.

In order to get a quality education with life skills we organize Children Camp with the themes, Science and technology, leadership, personality development, life goal, etc conduct through sessions, Science practical experiments, games, video shows, group works, drawings, debate, cultural programmes etc.

Parents-teachers association is developed through parents’ meeting twice in a year make them aware their responsibility.

Excavate all disadvantaged categories of children providing all the possibilities by which they are comfortable, to mainstream them the sector of education searching for a new scope in this wide open world is our concern through this Non-formal School.

We aim to protect them from social exploitations, impart education to those children who do not have access to education. Those who have prematurely dropped out from the formal schooling system .20% dropout boys and girls have been mainstreamed with regular schooling.

 

Education to the deprived children of streets and slums belonging to the   labor classes of the industrial area of Asansol.

 

To promote proper access to educational facilities for the children of BPL (Below Poverty Line)following the ‘Curriculum of State Government.

 

Empower the underprivileged children by deriving their creativity and   potentials to lead a dignified life in the society.

 

To induce the children for the further formal education through Govt.   Schools, Colleges and also through open universities.
